Cascade

In between bouts of fishing, we explored the camp.  Of course, we were drawn to the sound of rushing water northwest of us, so up the trail we went.  When the trail ran out, we kept going, not to be denied a look at more water.  The sound grew louder, and we knew we were getting close.  Finally, the creek and granite boulders presented an obstacle so formidable that one of us waited as the other pushed on.  I could see that deer had been this way, so I was determined to follow.  It was worthwhile, as the spring snow melt and rain had pumped life into a rather large waterfall, or as the French say, "cascade".
