Campsite by a Creek

This is a nice campground. Private, quiet. Warm and partly sunny, it is a good place to be for a few days. The Tour of California passes near hear tomorrow. We are spending time reading and listening to a tiny brook that runs behind us.

On the drive in here we passed from Anza and the dessert along a small road north of Julian. It is just about an hour drive into San Diego. We will go west on Monday to see a couple of friends.

This is horse farm and eucalyptus grove country. Very nice, but hot in summer. The hills are quite rugged, and covered with scrub. We hear coyotes in the evening and morning, quite near. There may be a cougar out there too. This is the country where joggers occasionally get et.
