How to behave

We went on a bit of a walk today. if we had any concern about how we should comport ourselves, our concerns were allayed by the profusion of signs.

Now you may think this signage to be overkill, as I used to, but I have begun to see that in fact here in California, if a sign is not posted at frequent intervals prohibiting one from lighting one's hair on fire and then putting it out with a shovel, then you will see exactly that occur.

is it any wonder that common sense and basic courtesy are becoming more and more rare? Who needs to learn or teach such things when there are signs to guide us in every situation?
