Silverwater Cafe Review

Scarborough Vegetable soup. What does it mean? Our server told us the chef has an obsession with the Beatles. So he named the soup for the presence of parsley, sage, Rosemary, and thyme. If this is true, one is forced to consider how a man who can't distinguish Beatles from Simon & Garfunkel can cook!

We soon learned the answer. Not well. A brief list of the transgressions- home made sauerkraut was flavorless, but that helped balance the meager portion of what was a delicious corned beef; the salads were dressed so lightly that we could not detect any flavor at all; the use of afore-mentioned herbs overpowered the soup.

Of course the careless service was but a small factor in an underwhelming experience, which was dominated by the crazy high prices.

However, the French fries, when hot are very, very good!
