Travels Within Travels

NYC is a feast for the senses metaphorically, and for the gastronome a paradise.  We are vitally aware of the opportunity to enjoy every meal while here.  Tonight it was Mon Petit Cafe, a taste of the City of Light in the City That Never Sleeps.

The view through the window enticed us to examine the menu, and the value brought us in- a fixed price menu with great and appealing variety for $25 per person.  In Manhattan this is diner pricing.

The atmosphere is authentic, but that is easy to fake.  The ladies who run the place are the real deal.  French food sensibilities with American hospitality!  The food is also authentic.  Not Michelin level, but better than most we have eaten in France.

Mon Petit Cafe is a local favorite for very good reasons, and would become ours too, if we lived here.
