Crewing on the Crab Boat

Back on the straight for crabs !  She is like the muse that adorns the bowsprit of the great wooden sailing ships.  As a matter of fact, we saw one transitting the strait while we were tending our pots.  It was headed to Seattle for the Seafair week, a GREAT festival.

The water was so clear today. Gorgeous. We dropped the pots at 70feet and I pulled one up after 35 minutes; it was empty...and we knew it had not been raided by commercial outfits, so we headed back to shore, hoping the changing tides would bring us some delicious crabs for dinner!
then off to a 25 km bike ride to town, where Paul treated me to a blended caramel latte...2%, no whipped cream thank you! This is perfect weather; low 70s, a very light breeze, and we live here! We'll head back out to the water tonight to see if crabs have entered our crab condos...
