The Premier event of the year, our Lavender Festival 0ccurred this weekend, and we went. The street if filled with vendors of all thing lavender, and all kinds of high end crafts. It is a real tourist event, drawing tens of thousands. Strolling the street fair with our friends was a pleasant way to spend the morning, and we took our time to see all the jewelry, try all the lavender hand soaps, and marvel at the number of world class photographers who call the area home.
We did not take the opportunity to visit the farms this year, where there is more food, vendors, music and fun. We have done that in years past. These farms do a great job of showcasing their land and crop, and it is a pleasant experience to stroll among the rows of lavender and pick a few fronds, listening to live music and socializing. I will take it all on good advise though, and await the sausage fest for my participation.

One of my favorite stalls was a tie dye vendor, and I was
sorely tempted to buy some tie dye to wear while sipping my soymilk coffee in my sandals.
Later, we went to a local restaurant for pizza, and I will have a review of that experience coming.
