As I was drifting off to sleep last night, full of delicious food and content in many ways, I felt very proud of how our kids are approaching life. I will leave it to them to tell their own story, but I hope they do.
Coffee is made and the house is quiet. People are beginning to stir, so I have a bit of time to write. I am afraid the information will be a little boring, being just about the family, and how happy we are to be together, how proud we are of them all, including those not here, how fortunate we are, and all that.
One feeling we don't mind sharing of our profound wonder at the food fortune that has brought of here. It is inexpressible, our joy and gratitude for our good fortune.
Today there will be a very low tide, so we may fish for mussels. First we have to check at the mayor's office to see if there are any water purity issues. Weeeelllll, on second thought, maybe we will watch others harvest them and have something else.
Upon arriving at the beach we fell in with Robert to harvest mussels immediately! Like clamming, it is satisfying to take these from the sea.The beach was deserted and we all enjoyed it.
